For convenience you may use a Windows Mobile PDA with Pocket DeltaLINK software (optional) at anytime to download or collect and view the data - or even to reconfigure the logging set-up in the field.
The optional GP1-PBA1 Precision Bridge Adapter enables a GP1 to log up to 2 bridge sensors such as pressure transducers and strain gauges.
As well as being a powerful general purpose logger, the GP1 is ideal for soil moisture applications:
When connected to 1 or 2 ThetaProbes or up to 4 SM200 Soil Moisture Sensors, the GP1 Logger provides simple high accuracy recording of moisture content (as well as rainfall and temperature) – and at much lower cost than has so far been possible.
This compact data logger has two high-resolution differential analog channels (0 to 2.5V) that enable the ThetaProbe’s outstanding accuracy to be achieved over its full operating range.
With the optional GP1-PBA1 Precision Bridge Adapter, a GP1 can be used as a one or two channel tensiometer logger. The bridge adapter is optimised for use with Delta-T's SWT range of water-filled tensiometers but is compatible with many other bridge sensors.
The GP1 can control irrigation directly from the soil moisture (and/or rainfall and/or temperature) or act as a sophisticated interface between these sensors and many types of programmable timer.
Start and Stop control levels can be separately configured and there’s even an option for pulsing the output when it’s desirable to match the water application rate to the soil’s infiltration ability.
A significantly expanded and upgraded version of DeltaLINK has been released for 2008. Version 2.3 includes:
· Dedicated WS-GP1 Weather Station program
· Improved graphing features
· More timing options (Delay to recording times + Time of day added to relay control)
In addition, the standard GP1 program now supports:
· WET Sensor
· Up to 4 x SM200 Sensors
· kHz frequency measurement
· Precision 5V sensor excitation
Battery powered GSM Modem communications systems can be used to extend the range of GP1 and DL6 Logger applications. Solar recharging is possible and all options can be integrated into GP1 or DL6 networks (see below).
GP1 and DL6 Loggers can be connected together in a GP1 cable network. A range of network cables and junction boxes allow GP1 and DL6 users to optimise logger, computer, power supply and modem connections. Up to ten GP1 or DL6 Loggers may be connected to each network.
