MTP 5-H uses specially designed microwave receiver with 3º view angle, which is highly sensitive to atmospheric ‘black-body' radiation at 5mm wavelength (60GHz frequency). MTP 5 emits no radiation, does not require any operating licenses and is quick and simple to set up. The rotating scanner has a TeflonTM cover and the only regular maintenance is to periodically clean it.
The instrument is typically mounted on the roof of a building and connected to a PC running the operating software. This stores the data, calculates the temperature profiles, and displays the results graphically every 5 minutes. The temperature is shown at 50m intervals up to a height of 600m.
MTP 5-H is unique. It self-calibrates and produces the temperature profiles automatically, in all conditions and in real time. It is ideal for use in urban environments and at airports.
• All-weather operation, including fog, rain and cloudy conditions, reliable performance
• State-of-the-art microwave technology
• Self-calibrating
